Design and build your own spooky Halloween game using Construct 3. Learn how to create eerie environments, interactive gameplay, and bring your haunting ideas to life using professional game development tools.

Participants will design, build, and program their own Halloween-themed game. With guidance from our expert tutors, they will use Construct 3 to create spooky effects, structure gameplay, and develop a fun and playable experience.

You will learn:
• Introduction to game development using Construct 3
• How to create interactive characters, objects, and environments
• How to use event-based logic to control gameplay without coding
• How to add atmosphere with sound effects, visuals, and simple animations
• Problem-solving and creative thinking through game design
• How to test, refine, and improve your game experience

By the end, you will have a playable Halloween-themed game built in Construct 3, complete with spooky visuals, interactive features, and your own creative gameplay ideas.

Please note that these workshops are intended for residents of Harwich and the Tendring area. We kindly ask that bookings are made only by those who live within these communities. If you book a place and are not based in these areas, we may need to cancel your booking to ensure spaces remain available for local residents.

Our Neurodivergent-friendly sessions are aimed at children and young people on the autism spectrum who may benefit from smaller classes sizes and a little bit more support. We have a maximum class size of 8 and at least two experienced tutors.

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels and ensures a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants.

Parents / carers are welcome to stay for part or all of the workshop if they would like to.
