Crafty Communication Workshop, 7+

Build your own communication devices, from the yoghurt pot phone to semaphore flags – you’ll even design your own language. For ages 7+.

This workshop will take place on ZOOM, you’ll recieve a link 24hrs before the workshop via email.

For this workshop you will need:

• Two yoghurt pots (ideally with holes pierced in the bottom already)
• String or something similar (e.g twine)
• A few sheets of paper
• Two sticks (lollipop sized or bigger)
• Colouring pens and pencils
• Sellotape

This workshop is part of Signals’ ‘Talk Time’ project, where we’re exploring the history of communication technology along the Tendring coastline, especially in times of need. It is made possible with funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
