Autism Friendly – Stop Motion Animation, ages 11-18

Make miniature sets and characters, and animate your own short film. If you can imagine it, we’ll help you animate it! Using a range of artist materials such as card, paint and modelling clay, you will create a short animated film with animation software and miniature cameras.

This workshop is one of eight sessions planned throughout the year, sessions cost £5 each or £30 for all eight.

Places are limited to six participants and we ask that parents or carers remain with participants for the duration of the session.

Thanks to funding from BBC Children In Need, Signals have programmed a series of eight practical film, animation and digital workshops, primarily for those on the autistic spectrum but we welcome young people with other Special Educational Needs who would benefit from the workshops.

While we do not exclude those young people with Autism Spectrum Condition or SEN from attending our regular holidays workshops we have designed these additional workshops to support those with ASC by shortening the duration, including more breaks, introducing a maximum of six participants and having two tutors that are autism awareness trained.
