Free accessible animation and filmmaking workshop for children and young people (11-18 years) with Autism Spectrum condition, made possible with funding from BBC Children in Need.
Using specialist filmmaking and animation equipment, participants will get the chance to make their own short films.
There is a maximum of 10 places available on the taster workshop – although free we require you to book in advance by calling the office on 01206 560255 or email info@signals.org.uk
This taster session is the first of an 8 session summer filmmaking course where participants will work in a team to make a film and experiment with green screen filmmaking! There are only 6 places for the course, and we ask that participants attend all sessions. Parents or carers must remain with participants for the first session and then until participants are comfortable.
This project is primarily for those on the autistic spectrum but we welcome young people with other Special Educational Needs who would benefit from the project.
Free taster session: Tuesday 14th August, 10 am to 12pm
Accessible filmmaking course dates: Tuesday 21st August to Friday 24th August and Tuesday 28th to Friday 31st August, 10am to 12.30pm
There is no cost for the taster session, but you must book in advance.
The 8 session course costs £40, however free places are available upon request.
