Signals is proud to be the North Essex and Tendring Hub for Essex 2020, a year-long, county-wide celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) in Essex.
Inspired by the prestigious British Science Festival, which comes to the region in 2020 for the first time in its 189-year history, Essex 2020 will present a 12-month programme of STEAM-related exhibitions, festivals, performances, workshops, conferences, trails and more for everyone to enjoy.
Our county also celebrates 400 years since The Mayflower left Harwich for the New World, 200 years since The Beagle took Darwin from the East of England to the Galapagos and 100 years since Marconi broadcast Dame Nellie Melba from Chelmsford and revolutionised the way we communicate.
Now we’re calling on Essex businesses and industries; schools, universities and colleges; arts, heritage and grassroots organisations to join us. Together, we want to shine a light on our county’s enterprising past and inspire the artists, scientists and engineers of the future.
