Digital Harwich Live – Easter 2026
Digital Harwich is part of an exciting three-year project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, dedicated to creating new digital and creative opportunities for children and young people across Harwich. Over the past two years, we’ve worked closely with local schools and youth organisations to deliver after-school clubs, Code Clubs and holiday workshops—helping young people explore animation, coding, robotics and game design in fun, accessible ways.
We have been especially proud to provide new activities and opportunities for children and young people in Harwich, helping them develop creative and digital skills that build confidence and open doors for the future.
Now we’re bringing everything together for Digital Harwich Live — a two-day celebration of creativity, technology and innovation and everyone is welcome!

We have games, films and interactive tech. You are welcome to drop in and just get involved.

Game Design with Construct 3
Create your own playable 2D platformer game while learning the fundamentals of level design, movement, obstacles and interactive features.
Beginners Micro:bit
Our Beginners Micro:bit Workshop introduces you to coding simple inputs and outputs using the BBC micro:bit.
Stop Motion Animation
Bring your imagination to life by creating characters, capturing frames and adding sound effects to produce your own short, animated film.
Light Up Key Chain Charms
Participants will learn how simple circuits work and stitch their own using conductive thread, LEDs, and a small battery.
Micro:bit Robots
Learn how to program a micro:bit using simple tools before working in teams to solve challenges and building your own robots!
Build Your Own MIDI Controller Instruments
Learn how to design and build a physical interface to control musical instruments on a computer.
All workshops are free and all equipment is provided. Please be aware there are some age requirements for certain workshops.
